Obsidian war eine Demo- und Entwicklergruppe, der einige in der Nintendo 64-Szene legendäre Programmierer angehörten.
Mitglieder der Gruppe waren WT_Riker, JL_Picard, Refried, CrowTRobo und TS_Garp.
Die Gruppe war hauptsächlich in der Nintendo64-Szene aktiv und veröffentlichte fast ausschließlich legale Programme und mehrere Demos. CrowTRobo entwickelte mit Vorlem ein Programm, mit sich VMU-Speicherstände auf den PC kopieren lassen. CrowTRobo veröffentlichte auch den sogenannten Lemec-Loader. Dieser Lader erlaubte es mit dem Sega Smash Pack Volume 1-Emulator jedes beliebige MegaDrive-Spiel zu emulieren.
